요약 | "The main focus of this title is to serve as a Clinical Education resource for entry level Physical Therapy students, with a secondary aim of providing guidance to community Clinical Instructors (CI), and facilities. The Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) requires that all entry level Physical Therapy students be trained to be Clinical Instructors before they complete their entry level education; the goal is to make Physical Therapy a teaching profession. To date, no resource has been created to address this CAPTE requirement, and schools have had to scramble to get this content together to obtain accreditation. A resource such as this is needed to facilitate this training. This text will present an overview on the rewards and challenges of becoming a CI, the legal issues involved for the academic institution and the clinical sites, clinical education models, student characteristics, establishing a clinical education program, and other issues relevant to clinical education. Marketing Considerations: Target should be the Director of Clinical Education at each Physical Therapy program who will be the decision-maker for this title"-- |
