The authors come from a range of specialisms ensuring a thorough examination of the essential themes; they review the present technological and scientific challenges in the analysis and design of offshore wind turbine foundations, with examples from Europe, the USA, China, India and Japan, and examine the use of physical modelling to overcome some of the design challenges and to verify the TRL (Technological Readiness Level) of innovations.
